More Information:
One of the most lush folk tales of old is restored to its far less heartwarming roots, in this stage adaptation of The Grimm Brothers' 'Schneewittchen,' or 'Little Snow White.' Drawing from the earliest versions of the story, unfamiliar to many, Pittsburgh playwright James Michael Shoberg weaves an epic re-telling, with a large ensemble cast of talented performers.
Audiences will enjoy watching the tale they thought they knew, this time, seen through the perspective of a vain queen, whose jealousy and desperation arouse the attention of a demonic creature, residing behind the surface of her most prized possession, a grand mirror. Together with the help of her sinister new ally, the queen seeks to destroy the one thing that stands between her and her all-consuming desire to be 'Fairest in the land'...her very own daughter.
